Delicious Meal Your Family Will Love

Last night while my family and I were out, it was getting late in the day and of course my boys, kept saying they were hungry. Now for any mom when your child expresses hunger we want to make that thought go away by providing them something to eat, something that will satisfy there hunger, something that will make them happy! Now in previous times we would have opted for fast food, such as carry out, McDonald’s, Burger King or something that just wasn’t going to be healthy or add and nutritional value to them.

I took a stand and I informed them that I was going to feed them something way better than fast food and something that was going to be satisfying, did they believe me? Of course because I always try my best to give them something nutritional, healthy and that will keep them satisfied for a couple of hours, because we all know that fast food is empty calories and it runs right though you lol

I made a Simple Healthy Veggie Penne Dish that they absolutely loved and it served the purpose of keeping them satisfied and hunger free! You can adjust the ingredients for your family size.

Here is my Recipe: 

2 Boxes of Vegetable Penne 

3 Bell Peppers 

1 Large Jar of Prego Sauce 

2 Cups of Mushrooms 

2 Cups of Carrots 

3 Cups of Broccoli

1 Red Large Onion

1 Pack of Pepper Jack Cheese

2 TBSP Organic Olive oil

Directions: Bring to a boil the Penne Noodles in a nice size pot, while the Penne Noodles are boiling, start to chop and cut up all Vegetables, set aside, and in a sauce pan place 2 Tbsp of Organic Olive Oil in pan then add all chopped vegetables( side note) make sure your pan is big enough for all your vegetables. 

Drain Penne Noodles then add Prego Sauce to Noodles, mix and stir according till all noodles are covered in Sauce, add Mrs. Dash for seasoning, pepper and Oregano seasoning to your liking. Let Vegetables simmer for 8 minutes toss them as they sauté, add 2 Tbsp of water to vegetables as they are cooking. 

In a Baking Dish place half of your vegetables at bottom of pan than add Penne Noodles to vegetables in baking pan, then add remainder of Vegetables to top of Noodles. Then Add  6 slices of Pepper Jack Cheese to the top of your veggies, place Baking Pan in over at 350 degrees and let cook for 30 minutes.. remove from Oven and there you have a delicious, delectable meal you and your family can enjoy😊

Meals can be made easy and simple, we just have to take the time to come out of our box and play around with vegetables, they are great add ins to all meals and they help you to stay fuller longer!
