Sweet Onion Pinto Bean Burger ๐Ÿ”

Every time I sit down to think of a way to incorporate a healthier burger for my family, I think about the variety of beans that are in the market. There are so many different ones such as black beans, kidney beans, chickpea, navy, black eyed, black turtle, lentil, the list goes on and on. 

I decided to make my family a delicious Sweet Onion Pinto Bean Burger. The recipe is as follows: 

๐Ÿ’œ 2 Cans of Pinto Beans Drained and rinsed throughly with cold water

๐Ÿ’œ 1 Red Onion Chopped Finely 

๐Ÿ’œ 1 Red Bell Pepper Chopped Finely

๐Ÿ’œ 1 Can of Corn Drained and Rinsed Throughly with Cold Water

๐Ÿ’œ 1 Teaspoon of Garlic Powder

๐Ÿ’œ 1 Teaspoon of Black Pepper 

๐Ÿ’œ 1 Teaspoon of Garlic & Herb Powder

Directions: In a Large Bowl add your beans and corn and mash, then add the remainder of your ingredients. Each patty should be 1/2 diameter thick and as large as you like them. Place in frying pan with Olive oil and fry for 2 to 3 minutes on each side and then serve! 

When it comes to transitioning my family to healthier food choices, the key is to serve the foods the same way they would like them. For the Pinto Burger you can serve between 2 buns with lettuce ๐Ÿฅฌ tomatoes ๐Ÿ…, and their likeness. Healthy Living taste so good.
