Doubt is an Negative Emotion

Image
Doubt!!! Doubt is one of the most natural things that our mind creates without fail. Doubt is an emotional process that your body goes through when your in the midst of trying something different, new or exciting.  At times doubt is an emotion that’s connected with negativity. Embarking on the journey to creating a healthy body and mind was a very challenging process for me. Who new that 9 years of healthy living would be a roller coaster of emotions. Learning and understanding my body, what it needed and how food effects the body was a lot to take in.  Understanding all the fad diets out here and how each diet can effect hormones, metabolism, mental health and physical health! My mind was a an emotional wreck of doubt at one point in time.  In those moments of doubt, I thought there was no way I can learn all this stuff, there is no way I could possibly teach it to others, but once I started, retained the information and took that knowledge in started to incorporate it in my daily liv

Steak Fries

Image
I am a French fry type of girl. I love me a crispy fry and so does my family. Before I went plant based I would try all types of fries, especially if they were covered with either cheese or something good on top of them.  I then went to the freezer fries. You know the ones you buy from you local Walmart, B.J’s, Sam’s Club, Costco. The ones that are already frozen and cut. Well on the back of that bag of fries are all types of ingredients. They have color added, which then other ingredients are added to hold retention in its package until someone buys that particular product. Not to mention the oil that has been added. No Thank You Now would you rather a bag of frozen fries or your very own homemade fries that Your tastebuds will go over board for?  I thought so! Now let’s get into this recipe  Ingredients:  2 Yellow Potatoes, washed  Sauces:  1/2 teaspoon Garlic Pepper  1/2 teaspoon Smoked Paprika  1//2 teaspoon Black Pepper  Pinch of Himalayan Salt  1/2 teaspoon parsley Flakes  1 Tabl

Seasoned Pita Chips

Image
Listen I fell in love last week with Pita Chips! My husband took the family to Cava, we were out doing some shopping and of course the boys were hungry so we opted for Cava!  They have a very intriguing menu and because they had Vegan options I was able to get something delicious. So I got the Lentil Avocado Bowl! This bowl was so delicious, it has supergreens, roasted vegetables, hummus, avocado, Falafel. It just is so good and to top it off they added the pita chips!  I was in goodness heaven. The Pita Chips had me hooked. I just had to know how they made them. So I asked the young lady behind the counter and she said they are fried in Canola oil. My heart just sank, the disappointment I felt in that moment. Of all the oils I at least figured they would use olive oils, but because of inflation, the industry and the cheapest oil to get for consumer purposes would be canola.  I decided that I would make my very own Pita Chips, delicious and light! The ingredients are:  Heat oven to 325
